Stink Bug

This little critter was walking around the side of our pool. The kids wanted to pick it up, but I had to persuade them not to as this thing really stinks bad!
The bugs are from the Hemiptera order and commonly referred to as shield bugs, chust bugs, and stink bugs. They have glands in their thorax between the first and second pair of legs which produce a foul smelling liquid.
